I haven't ever thought it would necessarily stop this type of behaviour by indigenous or non-indigenous people. So what?? But it will be just one helpful step for many....and that makes it well worthwhile.....plus it helps to show respect....something that the previous government could never do, because they simply weren't geniune. Everyone knows that....even Lil Johnny himself. But of course he would never admit it. That's just him, and that's why he got shafted well and truly.

There are an infinite number of factors that have contributed to the fact that many aborigines do not live harmoniously in the society in which they find themselves.

Many of these factors, such as the Stolen Generation, are factors which directly relate to the mistreatment they have received in the past, and the subsequent unsuccessful strategies that governments have used to attempt to rectify these wrongs.

Tomorrow will be great day for Australia. Well done Rudd and Labor. Well done!!

No amount of money will help rectify the disgraceful treatment of aborigines in our history. What is needed is to start from the ground up and try to rebuild the respect that 'white man' so effectively obliterated.

This is one great step in the right direction.
