Good thing we weren't stuck on such nonsense analogy when the internet and mobile phone networks were rolled out. When something is good, like EV, then the necessary infrastructure will be built. Cheaper battery tech? Really? What, when and where?
... anyways, not all of us want to be left behind. Some of us want to progress. Good thing the whole ffucking car industry is also thinking EV is the future. It's happening. Don't kid yourself otherwise.
