    • April global electric car sales were up an amazing 93% year on year
    • China bans "new" fossil-fuel vehicle plants beginning most likely from start 2019
    • We know that one: Volkswagen writing a check for batteries that almost matches Tesla’s entire market value. Do people realise how BIG this is?
    • By 2025, VW plans to sell as many as 3 million all-electric cars per year, their CEO said at the AGM
    • EU stats: Fuel types of new cars: diesel -17%; petrol +14.6%; electric +47% in first quarter of 2018
    • Boeing Co.-backed start up Zunum Aero plans to deliver its first hybrid-electric plane in 2022 to JetSuite
    • A plan for a network of EV charging stations connected to 2GW of battery power moves forward in the UK. They envision the installation of 50MW battery systems at 45 sites.
    • BMW is number 3 in global electric car manufacturer with 8% market share .Last week, BMW said that it will increase 'BMW I' electric vehicle production by 54% at its Leipzig factory. They plan for the capacity to increase to 520,000/yr.
    • On Monday Nissan said they will phaseout diesel versions of passenger cars when the models are revamped as focus shifts to electrified variants, to concentrate on sales of electrified vehicles instead.
    • Mercedes Benz expects many major cities are going to go 100 percent electric.They said, the phasing-out of traditional cars is already taking place. By 2022 we will come out with 10 battery-electric vehicles, and we will cover all the segments.
    • Even, Ford Mustang is going electric.Wow! You too my son? The mascot of gas guzzling mucho cars betraying ICE!
    • On May 7 Honda said every new car sold in Europe will be electrified from now on
    • India’s Tata Motors to deploy 1,000 electric vehicles in Maharashtra.
    • Countries and cities banning (or soon to ban) petrol and diesel vehicles include at least - UK (2040, may soon be changed to 2030), China, Germany, France (2040), Netherlands (2030), London, Paris (2030), Stuttgart, Mexico City, Madrid, and Athens. Added to this are countries pushing hard to become 100% EV - Norway and India.
    • GM CEO Mary Barra - "General Motors remains steadfast in its vision of an all-electric future. We are well on our way to introducing 20 new all-electric vehicle models globally by 2023.

    The above are facts – not forecasts by some howsoever motivated, educated, knowledgeable or not analyst.

    If you have the largest, including some of the most traditional (who you could certainly not dismiss as being green tree huggers) car manufacturers in the world publicly stating that they WILL be going EV – who are you to bet against that (even if you are a shorter I’d undo my bets very quickly!)?

    The tide has turned. Stay in the water, or jump in, support (yes, that’s what your PLS $$$ do!) and experience the lift to a far more sustainable and pollution free transport and other world with us.
