It is self sustaining because of the intrinsic attributes of matter/energy - yes it is, what a wonderful coincidence. How many of these wonderful coincidences would it take before you might consider that a force of consciousness must also exist?

The easy, glib reply would be; a Creator had to have made matter/energy with these values, but that is merely an assumption. Is it so easy and glib? It probably took humanity hundreds of thousands of years to arrive at this most astonishing and profound conclusion.

You have to step away from the God of fundamental religion because it's doing your head in. Dawkins and Hitchens have much to answer for by constantly debating the lowest denominator of what God might be, that being the God of the fundamentalist. That said, I have the utmost respect for Hitchens who spoke very eloquently and I agreed with him about 95% of the time.

We need to work with the God of science. The utter impossibility of the universal equation, all those bits you mentioned and a billion others perfect constants is the provence of scientific, it's should be a scientific axiom that a Creative Force therefore must exist.

Putting aside everything religion has to say and just concentrating on this one point. Science proves beyond a doubt that a force of exactitude, creative ability, life producing and enabling, sentience engaging must exist. The evidence shows this at every turn, in every field of science they reach a point where the chances of randomness become impossible.

The easy and glib answer is to stand before the entire proceeds of scientific endeavour and then draw the conclusion, well hell, aren't we lucky to be here? You have all the proof you need, no assumption necessary.
