Rod has worked in the Fosterville area for many years and is - in my opinion - very qualified to judge what Fosterville type geology looks like.

Rodney Boucher has a First Class Honours and PhD in structural geology and tectonics and over 20 years of exporation experience. After starting out in the petroleum industry witth the South Australian government, he established Linex Pty Ltd in 1997 focussing on gold exploration in central Victoria.
Linex have consulted extensively for gold at North Ballarat, Bendigo, Ballarat East, Fosterville, St Arnaud, Lockington and across northeastern Victoria and the Northern Territory. Linex has consulted for exploration for Cu-Au, base metals and IOCGU exploration in all states in addition to assisting in the first geothermal exploration in the country.
Rodney is an Honorary Associate and lectured part time at La Trobe University Bendigo, from 1997 to 2010 in Structural Geology, Geophysics, Sedimentology, Introductory Geology and Project Management. Rodney has run short courses on geotourism and assists annually with the Geology of Gold field trip at Victoria Hill in Bendigo.
He is a current state AIG Vice-Chair and a former Chair and Treasurer. He is a past state treasurer and secretary of PESA.
