Yes you are right Actuary 'It's about time the 'states moved along' and got off their collective butts and did something, instead of whinge and whine about the Feds. The states are swimming in money from the GST and Stamp Duty, with WA and Qld having the additional benefits of the resources boom. What have they done with it, more largesse for public servants perhaps?
Did you notice that the Health minister in WA, who was just sacked by Carpenter (another mate of Burke's) was the highest paid public servant in the country earning over $500,000 pa. The labor junkies certainly look after their own.
