Even though I am only a pup in investing parlance, having invested for a little over 3 years now, I am acutely aware of a lot of the points you bring up regarding portfolio construction, so I can take that information in its context (implied or stated).

The fact that you have those names among your largest holdings, despite them growing significantly and being assessed as overvalued indicates your conviction in them. I would not buy any of those names today either, as much as I would like to. Worse, I am an ex-holder of CSL, which I regrettably sold probably around the time you bought as I was consolidating my portfolio - I clearly chose the wrong shares to sell!

My portfolio is pretty lopsided too, partly because of how long I have left to participate in this investing lark, and partly because of circumstance. What I am lacking in particular is a solid base for it - for most of my investing career, the big end of town hasn't looked particularly attractive.

The last company I hold by market cap is RMD (9% of my portfolio), but it is just behind ALU (about 10% of my portfolio). ALU has grown to be my largest holding because of sheer performance - a near 400% gain, and I even sold my initial stake in it on the recent rise; another poor decision as it has risen another 100% on my cost base since!The compound my frustrations, I never got around to completing my allocation - I intended to buy another parcel of shares close to my initial cost base.

The rest of my top holdings also feature a number of erstwhile smaller companies that have grown into outsized positions (CGF, IRI, BWX and CTD to name a few).
