"sorry day" may in the end be nothing more than something symbolic - but who cares. as an analogy, watso thought of the vietnam veterans, who may have been conscripted and sent to vietnam, but upon their return, there was no recognition - they sort of got of the plane, and snuck home. years later, there were parades, to recognize their service - as a way for australia to recognize them.
a sorry to aborigines, probably has a positive effect, the way that vietnam veterans got recognized, in the fullness of time
