I agree entirely with these comments and their relevance to CDY threads. In order to make this point on more than one occasion recently I considered suggesting a thread be established titled ‘CDY Information’ that could act as a filter for contributions worth reading. At least by those that don’t have as mush spare time on their hands as some posters appear to have and need to discriminate.

The primary value of the HC forum is that it provides a means to obtain otherwise unavailable facts and researched opinions about a stock that can inform investment decisions. If to do so requires sifting through poor quality posts to find it potential CDY investors are likely to decide that it is not worth the effort and move elsewhere.

Some posters appear to mistakenly believe that interest in CDY threads when there is a lull in announcements will be lost unless there is a continuing flow of posts to serve as entertainment. I think the opposite is true, because to do so dilutes the value of the threads in their purpose. Although a stock discussion forum, HC recognises this by also making available sub-forums titled ‘General’, ‘Humour’ and ‘Pets’.

Having said this, I concede that any improvement most likely will only be temporary.
