I have had engin in my home for over four years I can honestly say its a great product and saves heaps of money on phone calls. I would not put this post here if I did not think the product and company did not deserve some credit.
It does have its shortfalls as an add on service and I think to meet growing demand and needs of customers it has to upgrade its services to compete. Like moving towards offering a naked ADSL package and offering its own broadband service etc.
If it were not for the large slice of ownership by channel seven I am sure this company would have been gobbled up by now for its customer base.
That is not to say that Channel Seven might not have its eyes set on the future.
Its obvious that engin is looking towards a different delivery service with its new to be launched TIVO product.
This database will be sure to grow.
If they can maintain a good broadcast platform they will be able to provide a television service with features similar to some of the bigpaytv providers, however there will be minimum outlay as there will be no need for satellite dishes, cable rollout etc as they will use current phone lines to deliver the product.
Plenty of potential is there for engin and Channel seven are no dummies when it comes to investing money.

Problem is will they make it??
