Sorry guys, but your conspiritorial, glass half full response to this matter is categorically wrong. It is simply the strong response of a board (and particularly one member of the board) to a perceived OPPORTUNITY that has been presented to them all of a sudden. It is not a response to a PROBLEM. It is not a matter of a manager falling on his sword to save a company - but one of falling on his sword to speed the growth of the company. That's a big difference.
And besides, the 'falling on sword' analogy shouldn't be taken too seriously. The opportunity that Andrew sees for the company is obviously consistent with his personal position at the moment (eg maybe he was looking for a chnce to spend more time with his family, do more travelling or whatever).
Really, cheer up guys. It's all good!
