Mool,
I learnt a long time ago that most awards are total BS. Not to detract from the few who certainly deserve their recognition, my experience in business taught me a long time that for the majority of time it was the brown-nose, achievement stealing, back-scratching, money-exchanging, low moral types who tended to win the awards. I remember in my younger years, working for a large company, moving to the Sydney branch to take over the technical team and the customer support service team there was an absolute shambles. Weeks of delays in solving customer issues due to poor processes and employee morale and a toxic management team. That year that branch won an award in the Australian business best customer support team of the year division. That just cemented my opinion on awards. Nothing to do with reality, all to do with money exchange and who knows who.
Maybe NC deserved his award, history since however says probably not.
