That comment was basically tongue in cheek. But of course the NTA reflects the full value of the company. Share prices are merely an expression of sentiment and willingness (or not) to pay a price to acquire or dispose of an asset. That does not mean that its rational to be buying LICs at large premiums. It's merely a risk that people may (or may not) be taking into account.
