The removal of the Chairman, CEO, three Directors, and General Counsel was immediate and sweeping. So much so that it is going to take some time to find the right people to replace them and lead the companies turn around - hence David Murray's call for a measured process (which fell on deaf ears).
I'm confident AMP will turn it's current situation around. David Murray as Chairman is an outstanding win for AMP. When he takes the helm later this month, change and renewal will begin to accelerate. And when a new CEO is announced, the market will have renewed confidence in the company. This will be to a greater or lesser extent depending on who the CEO is, but I don't imagine Murray & the remaining board will select anyone less than stellar.
