I don't think they are competitors, but instead they are complimentary of each other. It sounded like this "startup" is leveraging IOTs capability to make, "fleets" of cranes operate more effectively. Its a bit like how Linfox is trailing IOTs for its fleet of trucks now with IOTs.
You could argue, the HX builds the structure, while the IOTs/sensor reports back to base what problem might occur, say a busted pneumatic components on the arm that needs replacements next. Key difference, FBR is a new way to build. This startup is a new way to manage project building/cranes deployment.
