Are you saying autism never existed 50 years ago Moggs ? What about depression or anxiety ? Bi polar ? PTSD? ADHD? Are you saying all these things are new ? And 50 years ago everybody was fit and healthy ? You can’t be serious. Don’t you think that perhaps methods of identifying those conditions have improved? People being described as weird or mad 50 years back can now be categorised as suffering from one of the above. PTSD can now replace shell shock from First World War days. It’s logical that advances in medical science will better identify all these conditions.
