IMO the govt will imo be scrambling to back away from this madcap
idea(which is not binding) but just the publicity on the vote by the factional
Liberal members is bound to cause some damage.
Crazy motions are occasionally passed by rank and file factional interests in both
Liberal and Labor, which fortunately are not binding and are unlikely to be adopted as official policy.
However, what they do is force the govt to clearly state whether they reject that policy before
the next election. I await that rejection! It will have to be better than a rolled gold guarantee
to satisfy those who enjoy and want our iconic National Broadcaster to continue.
