Leaving aside that I basically agree with what you have to say about the quality of B'sofD's here, I don't think you've cottoned to the idea Ellison isn't actually after Atlas as a whole.

Yeah, he put up the SofArrangement, but I reckon he had what he really wanted well set before he made the bid - and he'd clearly worked to advance the complementary strategy away from the public glare, before the likes of Twiggy and Rinehart stuck their oars in.

I was quite surprised to read all the hootin' and hollerin' when Rinehart decided to go 'oar for oar' with Twiggy.

It looked a wee - hold that thought - bit like a pissin' contest to me, but Ellison wasn't involved - he was already off and running, leaving the other 2 to give chase.

Reading the AFR and Oz articles earlier today leaves me wondering how anyone could think otherwise.
