So much happening in this sector.
Sry forget posters name but he/she posted an interesting post on the ramifications of the at&t time warner merger ,i didn't know why but felt it was an interesting post and gave it a thumbs up,but not much response to his/her post..
Just googled at&t time warner foxtel and if interested you will find an interesting article from abc,sry headline to long to type.
But it does make foxtel an intriguing business whether as a take over play for these mega global companies,a jv with one of these jv partners or something else as content clearly is becoming an extreme attraction for above co's,amazon etc.
I don.t know where that leaves tls but my guess is a good position.
What I do know (imo) is its no good having/owning content if you don't have the mobile network to provide the coverage.
Now to get technical (thats a joke),those little whirling circles is going to be the difference between optus and tls,i wont even include vodafone or tpg as i can't see them streaming to much live content.
But Ash posted that tls is getting 2 gbz speeds from 4g,which imo only (and a fairly ignorant opinion) shows tls is not holding back on capex or what is required for tls to be the leading mobile network'.

My point,as tls has also said, optus and tls maybe able to get these speeds on 4g,but come live sports day when everybody is trying to watch what ever on their mobiles you will need the extra ghz bandwidth to maintain continuous coverage of the game otherwise you will get yr little spinning circles and it appears to me tls is going to have that network if successful in oct 3.6 ghz auction.
Which also makes tls imperative for any global or domestic content owner that wants their content streamed live continuously over a mobile network.
There, thks to that poster for raising the issue because it appears to me real mmWave is going to be required to provide coverage for these massive global co's that are chasing content and then will require it broadcast on mobile devices and it appears to me tls will be by far the superior network and an attraction for these co's in the future in one form or another.
    At least thats my understanding.
ps telstra energy, read an interesting article the other day and a new term 'wind drought'????
So we now have wind droughts, clouds, water /dam/hydro droughts, high energy using businesses are told to reduce production to reduce energy consumption.
hmm how could such a problem be solved tls energy?,answer turn tls energy into a real energy business/ provider and buy red energy with its gas vic plant,renewables,solar/battery home storage units etc.
