@will_fest I am interested to know your motivation for proposing "alternative" theories as to why Richard was hanging around toilet blocks in the 1990s. If Richard was so keen to save these men from AIDS why blackmail them when he could have just given them a warning along the lines of "if I catch you again you will be charged" which the police do all the time with other crimes.

Your theory sounds like the sort of theory that would be proposed by someone personally close to Richard. I find it unusual that you refer to two facts that are not in the public domain: 1) That Richard was a member of a right wing group in the 1990s; 2) That he spent time on remand. Do you mind explaining how you know these two facts?

I am not gay and I have no motivation in this matter other than to see people with Richard's background never be allowed to become the CEO of a listed company. Thousand of small shareholders who trusted BIG's reports have been burnt and they are rightly upset.

I did end up subscribing to the AFR to help ensure that stories like BIG make it out in the future.
