I think we need to sober up people and ask ourselves some basic question such as
  a) who are the actual person(s) who wrote this so called 'research report', and
  b) what do they hope to gain from doing so?

Let's start with some basics:
1. What exactly is'Checkmate Research'?/ the 'Checkmate Research Group'. Is it, for example, a reputable recognised organisation in the Broker Research space and have they released other research reports on other ASX listed companies? I could not find any other 'research reports' authored by Checkmate Research. The answers to these questions appear to be no and no.
2. Is the 'Checkmate Research Group' registered with ASIC? No, not as far as I can tell. It therefore appears that 'Checkmate Research' is neither a registered company or even a trading name. So what is it then?
3. It may be little more than a social media profile used by an individual who profile can found on Linkedin.  This individual appears to have associations with a similarly named 'research firm 'called Checkmate B2B. This 'thingy' first appeared about a year ago and appears also not be registered with ASIC. According to Linkedin 'Checkmate B2B ' is a leading Business to Business research firm with the ability to get to the toughest customers and prospects. The firm boast highly skilled experienced professionals who are able to talk to the most seasoned and knowledgeable professionals across a wide range of professions and draw out exactly what needs to be known and understood. Exactly what that means and whether any of it can be substantiated is hard to say.  
So, in summary, it to me as if the Checkmate Research Group is most likely the social media veneer of one person. Which leads to name second question - what do they hope to gain?
I have no idea, but one thing seems certain; the report dos not appear to be have been written as a free charitable public service.
