I don't think this is about manipulation by a shorter. The latest ASX daily gross short sales report (20/60/18) show that there are only 27,244 shares that are short. This is a very small number, which implies that no one is going to make a fortune out of this 'transaction'. It also implies that the major holders had not expected CCP to be vulnerable to a significant fall.
