    Here are some of the historical breaks and subsequent action.

    1929 crash was over in 8 weeks and then a lower low 2 weeks later, then a 5 month weak rally.

    1930 over in 10 weeks then a 2.5 month weak rally.

    1937 first decline was 3 months and 2 month rally.

    1937 second decline was 2 months with a lower low 5 weeks later and a 3 month rally.

    1987 was 2 month deline with a higher low 6 weeks later and then just up.

    So this decline in US terms at 3.5 months was the biggest even including the 1987 retest for an "initial move".

    It does seem logical that a more substantial rally in duration comes soon.

    The quality of that rally is probably the key to what comes next.
