Went bush back to the family property when the wife got pregos as we decided we didn't want to raise kids in Sydney.

Stayed till almost 10 years ago and now living in a quiet Mid North Coast town.

Used all the compilers but loved my Assembler code as it was so efficient and easy to debug. As Chief Programmer and Systems Programmer I enjoyed the challenge but then they started to pidgeon hole you.

When I started we would do anything to save a byte of space. My first mainframe was 4K would you believe and it was as big as half a room.

Been back to Sydney about 3 times in 30 years. I hate the noise, the crowds etc.

I was back in Sydeny in October last year when believe it or not my youngest son got married on not only the same day of the week but the same month and same date and a Fib 34 years later than I did and he didn't even realise.

The best part was we stayed with harbour views of Fort Denison and the bridge and that was great. The rest was forgetable, such as the masses and the noise.

These are probably the things that attracted me as a young person but I need my space and my peace.

Just becoming an old fart I guess.

Couldn't go back to the bush again either.

Don't mind the hinterlands, but way out west when I was wrestling steers and crowbaring postholes is also beyond me.

Now I wrestle the markets and put up with the masses on HC, lol.
