You would have to be pretty disingenuous to say that the doubling of the debt is not at least 51% Labor’s fault, in reality you could go well above a 75-25 split Labor’s way.
They have saddled us with more typical monolithic Labor programs, worse they tried to tell us that the revenue to pay for them would actually be there. Take the NDIS, everyone was meant to chip in to pay for it, it was a social contract between all of us, all of the sudden Bill makes this about class warfare, only the top income earners should foot the bill now according to Labor.
We are on track for a budget surplus over the last 12 months, when’s the last time Labor delivered one even over a trimester?
Whilst I happily concede that Morrison is somewhat lucky with the tax collections figures he also very discreetly put a stop to reckless spending.
