Fridays close and the opening today as well as the markets reaction to the infamous "mou" would indicate to most reasonable people that the playing field is not completely level. A not so hypothetical question is why is it in a party's interest to bother apart from buying at a cheaper price? It may even work in the last week of the financial year if you need to sell.
