Not a good analogy though. Technology in electronics can be developed very quickly and become obsolete just as quickly (Beta video as mentioned and mobile phones as a current example). With mining processing, new technology takes longer to develop and much longer again to prove up even on small scale. Proven technology goes a long time in this industry before it becomes obsolete.
