AVA has dropped because it released a very ordinary (read: poor) market update. The drop has nothing to do with anything else. To think MSP will increase (materially) off the back of that, makes little to no sense. The fact that nearly 5m has been traded on the ASX alone suggests some have cut their losses early because they don't have confidence in the parent company under any x:1 offer.
AVA could well continue down though. There may be an arbitrage for new entrants (as opposed to existing holders)...but if the stake in MSP passes the 90% before then, who will be accumulating MSP shares to provide support or any sort of liquidity?

There is also no any support for AVA. However, If they want to get 90%, AVA will support price.
