georgia according to the adventure capitalist

Jim Rogers in his book Adventure Capitalist is scathing about Central Asia and the goverments.

I'll quote a bit.

"There (Georgia) it felt like we were being stopped by the KGB. They did not call themselvs Communists anymore, but their behavour was no different.Their mentallity had not changed since the days when their president, that great hero of the West, Eduard Shevardnadze, had been the Soviet foreign minister. They and he, were still the thugs they have always been."

The latest coup toppled Shevardnadze by a group claiming to be "straight". Time will tell.

I must admit that while I have held BSG for years I never looked at a map to find out where it is. Seems it is just another Muslim "Stan".
