No I don't think Erin is a problem.......Erin have vast un surmountable problems it seems but how will that effect Samo-1? They are free carried for drilling, the holding co was NOT included in chapter 11, FAR management have told us, at the AGM, that Erin can't sell whilst in default to FAR.........but the big one is the Gambians. Do you really think they will pull the rug out from under Petronas if that's what you are hinting at?
The government will want this well drilled more than anyone in the JV IMO.....CN said The Gambia has a population of 2 million.....imagine what a billion barrel oil field would do for them.
Make no mistake Erins problems are their own and I hope/suspect we might end up with their share.

Errr I think if you actually read what I said I was critical of Coleman's comments not WPL.
I don't think I have ever made any remarks about WPL as a company......

Show me where I have made any comment on who had the highest bid.
I'll help you....I haven't and to be honest I could not care less because it changes nothing.

As for FAR's arbiter, I assume FAR did their homework and tried to pick someone
a. Who could not be questioned by COP if the decision goes against them and
b. Someone who has a legal leaning that might suit FAR better than COP.
I also assume that COP would have done the same.
Now before you waffle on about impartiality, I'll point you to the US supreme court where the bench warmers there are chosen by the pollies based on their views on issues......they would be quick to tell you they are completely impartial........ so long as its not about abortion or a thousand other things.
