Shorting is ok and legitimate on large cap stocks like ABS. Only thing suspect in this case is if someone deliberately put out false information to tank the price. I reckon that's what happened and it's obviously illegal. Nothing will happen though. Has anyone been prosecuted since poor old Rivkin?
