I agree that both major parties are pro BIG Australia, also,the unions and corporates are on a unity ticket (strangely) and you're right about Keating. I just don't think we can call it socialist and blame the left because the business sector is probably the main proponent and they are certainly not socialist.
I'm in the Dick Smith camp on this, the public is being ignored and a referendum would be nice but they will never let us have a say. So much for Representative Democracy. The powers that be are running a radically excessive immigration program, if we complain, all sides use whatever means to ignore it.
