It is easy to blame short sellers every time the SP drop, however people should be aware that short selling is a very difficult exercise and also very risk strategy.

Naked short selling is banned in Australia, so any person selling short needs to have an agreement to borrow the shares prior to placing the order. For the same reason, brokers will not allow you to place a sell order unless you already own the shares.

In addition, short positions have to be disclosed to market. There is no such obligations on the people who take a long position in the market, they don't need to disclose that the position is leveraged or the leverage ratio.

I think people have to acknowledge that the fall in SP is simply a matter of pure demand & supply in the market.

A2M has a very high PE ratio, so they better beat the revenue forecast by a decent margin (5+ %), because if they just meet the forecast then SP will suffer a massive drop and market will settled for a much lower PE valuation.
