The proposed spur line would initially pass across BHP and Hancock tenements, but after that I'm none the wiser. Bear in mind that both Rio's and BHP's spur lines cross over UMC's Camp Hill tenement.

I understand that the approval for spur lines is independent of tenement ownership. Obviously, it would need to be constructed in such a way so as to take the shortest and most practical route but not interfere with current and future mining sites.

I'm not sure what objection criteria is in place, however one must remember that all prospecting, exploration and mining leases are not legally owned by the holders i.e. the final say will come from the native title holders etc...and the state government.
