As a young investor (20yo), nothing that I've read or learnt had prepared me for this. While this has lead to (40% of my working capital) a huge loss for me, I hope to still recover as I have time on my side. What I really worry about is those people who are loosing more than money, families even. I personally haven't told any of my family that I've lost over $15000 on BIG, I'm more than embarrassed. It feels as if all I have ever worked is merely cash that will enrich thieves and all that I have studied is garbage, now that I sit on 7000+ useless shares. What's even the purpose of having ASIC or any other government institutions if these schemes aren't caught out before people are skimmed of the life savings. I'm absolutely disgusted and appalled by all who led us SH on a wild virtual reality roller coaster ride. Which I could have done for $10 at the Gold Coast....
