I'll go out on a limb here and say forget any threat of Amazon disrupting traditional supply of medicines from community or private hospital pharmacies whether they are operated by Australian registered pharmacist owned, Australian registered pharmacist company owned or grandfathered Australia corporate friendlies society owned. While there is an Australian tax payer funded PBS Scheme operating along with the powerful pharmacy political lobby groups and while my bottom points to the ground we will not have any form of foreign pecuniary ownership of pharmacies in Australia....Amazon has no chance and I expect they probably have already discounted it as too hard and could not be bothered anyway for the size of the market.

Wholesaling is perhaps a different story as we have seen with global DHL gaining ground here but perhaps Australia is not big enough for any more than we have now particularly given the awkward distribution logistics in this country.

Now that Symbion have taken up the CW poison chalice that Sigma assisted in creating in the first place, all is pointing in my mind to API and Sigma starting up merger discussions again.
