again we are talking about different technologies. Perhaps geo-sequestration is a worthy technology to pursue but this isn't what LNC are developing. They're developing a particularly polluting technology and telling us it will be alright because someone else will come up with a viable way of storing the CO2 (well some of it) sometime in the future and we're pretty sure it will work and won't cost much...probably.

Again I am not criticizing UCG as it seems to offer incremental benefits to other gasification technologies. CTL on the other hand seems like it could reverse any progress made in cutting emissions in other areas. There's never likely to be sequestration from the exhaust pipe of a car.
