DRC....but to your point, I think something really incongruous is going on.
It has to be explained to me why DRC resources are being shunnned, and at the same time clean jurisdiction projects in electric battery materials are killed every time they have news that shows positive progress towards development.
I think a two-tier cobalt market will come about, with certain manufacturers happy to take low tier pricing non-vetted cobalt out of DRC for markets that do not care about the issue.
The Chinese have been moving a lot of capital into DRC recently....low stock prices, child labor outcry, ebola outbreaks, government kleptocracy, higher tax rates, and AK47s notwithstanding. They are benefitting. They have a long term view.
I am sure they are doing the same thing on non-DRC resources while prices are depressed.
