Fact: AP is required under ASX's continuous disclosure (Listing Rule 3.1 ) which reads "Once an entity is or becomes *aware of any *information concerning it that a reasonable person would expect to have a material effect on the price or value of the entity's *securities, the entity must immediately tell ASX that information".
"Fact: the device plays sound."
Fact: The device has been playing sound since the proof of concept years ago.
"Fact: the sound quality is not yet up to expectations."
I would suggest that the test was performed with a fully packaged 'device' since there are numerous references to that word in the first two paragraphs of the announcement. AP have requested a further series of wafers to be produced 'many dozens' being key.
Results are underwhelming and it is unfortunate.
"Fact: TJ is clearly going out of its way to help and to get the product working. "
From the announcement "The vendor is continually working on fine-tuning the process to achieve the required outcome, with an upcoming shipment of newly refined wafers due this coming week."
Nothing there reads like they're going out of their way, their involvement continues, as in it is not yet finished. Their involvement will continue until the product is ready or AP gives up on the idea. I love the spin you put by saying 'going out of its way' - they are getting paid for this (refer R&D budget) and are not doing it for love. Unless there was a strategic agreement, sharing of costs, or investment by the vendor into AKP, I doubt they are as invested in this as AKP. That's not to say they're not working hard towards helping AKP achieve its outcomes, but definitely not a 'fact' derived from the announcement.
