good point T4P. the sp has been trashed in recent months because of delays. But perhaps these delays were, at least in part, engineered by Mark Smyth for the greater long term good. We should not forget that he is head of a minnow corporation doing a very delicate balancing act between African governments, local JV partners and angry ant shareholders. And at all times trying to ward big shark competitors who would if they could snap CVI in half to get their hands on OUR leases. No wonder is a little vague in showing his hand.

During a recent BRR MS was pontificating about Conrad Maher's anal retentiveness being the cause of the delays at Matanda. i could not help but wonder at the time "Why the hell are you REALLY telling me this ??". but I guess it may have been another necessary engineered delay. Maher gets to take one for the team and it's not his job to talk to angry share holders. But I wonder why the need for the delay. Does he want to sell matanda to fund Kwanza ?? Is matanda a bargaining chip for Niger ??

whatever the reason, as you suggest, many pieces of the puzzles will fall into place very quickly when kwanza is signed.....and maybe the rest when/if niger is signed.

Ah, the niger delta !! by all accounts leases probable by end of this month....and yet such little discussion for such a huge prize.
