hubler..that is exactly one of the main points. banks are now getting smashed as funds and investors except the effects of these credit issues. this increases the pressure on banks to run for cover to protect their own positions.[banks are not heroes and don't run business's except their own]. History has shown us this. As for the 'angry' ones not wanting to hear another point of view, good luck. As for some who can't understand the logic of onetel [buyers buy depressed stocks thinking they are cheap and not understanding the underlying disaster potential] then good luck also. After spending 17 years as a full time investor/trader i am simply pointing out to the exceptionally smart ones [who think they understand this company] that its a good idea to view this with a degree of suspicion. When you look back at companies that got into trouble before [AMP,WBC,BHP,NWS,ALL etc] they all did not have this massive debt and their cash flow was strong enough to pull through. None of these companies were exposed to monster debt, rising interest rates, increasing cost of money and credit crunches like this. I hope CNP, AFG and MFS survive but right now the boards of these companies do not control their destiny. They are now run by their bankers. As for this new guy joining the board..who employed him and why? have you thought its the banks wanting the best person to get the most cash back???? The good old NTA trick..given the current loses, thats a moving figure at best. Dont shot the messenger. I really do hope that they come out of this and you guys who get lucky owning it, make a lot of money. That can still happen, but i am not bothered owning stocks with this much short term risk reward. The stock was 58c the other day and some 'angry' ones said i was upset because i missed the trade. Monday should be interesting.
