in reply the india press is a lot more forthcoming about UFO sightings, major indian newspapers give balanced and reasoned opinions on sightings. We dont hear much with our western orientated press coverage. Japan is another one where the government has recently come out and stated its reaction policy to a UFO policy in line with any future landings and its self defense constitution ( this was in reply to media enquires) the japaness defense minister gave the opinion that although japan would investigate any military sightings they had no hard evidence at hand to confirm or deny anything other than that any threats to japanesse airspace were taken seriously

The foriegn minister also joined in ( this was in december) the japanesse were in a media tizz over both the stephenville sightings in america as well as the japaness moon probe changi-1 that was in orbit around the moon.

UK and France have realised all military files concerning civil reports and UFO investigations which showed both the MOD and CERN have investigated = but not issued any opinions on several UFO sightings including one certain UK military base sightings covered in timothy goods book above top secret.

That said u get youre whackjob element - my personal interest is more in the military-intelligence services angle as that is a lot more difficult to dismiss up till now the media havent covered it much.
