For reasons strictly professional and by a singular twist of fate, an active member of the FEA was invited to the UN in New York the week of February 11, 2008. This person has just seen the development work on the topic UFOs, after the meeting of February 12. This work at the United Nations, called the development of conclusions and deliberations during three conferences behind closed doors, which were held on 13 and 14 February, to which our member had the honour and pleasure to attend.
Here is a summary of the minutes that Mr. Gilles Lorant, invited to the meetings to kindly share with us about what was said at the United Nations in New York:
On 12 February, the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard would actually presented a report on the subject of UFOs and the impact of events on many communities in the United States. This report is seen as general interest for industrialized countries, representatives from several countries were invited to attend. Then, at the request of three United States Senators, a series of three meetings took place in the following days, in the presence of representatives of forty twenty-eight member countries, including the Vatican (two nations did not send representatives). On both days, the subject of UFOs was raised during a maximum of 1:30 as one of the causes that may affect social equilibrium of a nation, considering the high probability of economic recession, the speech of contacted, charlatans, religious , some scientists and prophecies. Expressions of UFO further sharply the risk of social unrest threatening to their political system some emerging democracies. According to Mr. Gilles Lorant, he was actually discussed the official opening which should be considered in future public concerning the treatment of the UFO phenomenon.
