Ando I'm currently fixated with this WA link. The recent announcement is on the face of it is a HoA exploring TIVAN potential with BBI Balla Balla project.
I like that BBI is an unlisted company well resoursed and strategically plays a long game. It's embarking on a project with parallels to Fortesque. At core unlocking access to the Pilbara Iron Ore Plateau previously marooned due to absence of infrastructure.
In the background and prompted by their accusation of Rutila Resources (who had obtained the Port infrastructure development approvals critical to opening up the POIP) is Rutila's titanomagnetite resource.
Enter TNG with its TIVAN hydrometallurgical IP ofering the only currently developed option of unlocking all three metals contained in the resource. Obviously this is publicly at an early stage of assessment but these projects and resources go back nearly a decade now in terms of exploration for development.
Here's a couple of 2011 pdf links (I'm hoping I have uploaded properly)
Now today's announcement re appointment of Jason Giltay, who's CV has him in a significant role with Atlanta as the completed the ferrovanadium production plant at Windimurra, that's after Atlanta took over the project in 2010 following PMA's non completion of the development and the fire that terminated production in 2014.
Windimurra is a rich titanomagnetite resource and proximate to many of the other ASX listed Vanadium plays attracting attention. In fact AVL has publicly stated its talking to the current owners.
Under the tenure of its predecessors, Xstrata (2000), And PMA (2005) appears to have been focused on iron recovery and V as a bi product, Atlanta went a step further building the Ferrovanadium production plant but was still optimising the crushing, milling , benefication process when disaster struck in 2014. The consequence was high OPEX and low recovery (production costings est US$17.00 to 19.00 kg Ferrovanadium) The titanium was not factored in or part of production.
Under new ownership Draxford International, they are currently undertaking a feasability study (due any time now) to take the project back into production.
Now TNG has a historic link back to Windimurra. What would it take to upgrade and convert the existing mothballed facility to a TIVAN Refinery.
I'm just throwing it out there but.
