andy, no I'm not a vegetarian. The two issues are totally different.
I also know that the following is said in a time of good health but my feeling is that if someone had said to me that he can alleviate my pain or avert my death even by destroying another animal, I would like to be able to have the strength to say "no." But, like I said, I'm aware I'm saying this from a position of fairly good health. This is the reason why I would not like to be given the choice. That the choice should be made by and ethical govn't.
