What I found with the quiz questions was that by not having the stock code it made it harder and forced a lot more thinking before I answered - I think this is what @Jako8557 had in mind but I'll let him elaborate on that - perhaps when the answer is given we could be told the code? I think he does this sometimes.

I was an avid candlestick user till I read Tom Williams and his VSA and Wyckoff several years ago but then found that candlesticks detracted from the simplicity of looking at a bar in conjunction with volume and seeing resistance and support levels. I leave some plots in candlestick mode, usually accompanied by some indicators but usually find I don't look at them often - I trade using just bars and volume.

I also notice many users of candlesticks get carried away with some of the patterns, "dark cloud" and "hangman" and "hammer" etc. - usually they "spot" them in the wrong part of the trend and fool themselves.

Indicators and oscillators are helpful but once again after using bars for so long one can tell if a stock is overbought or oversold just by looking at the chart - anyway welcome and the learning process will never stop.

Have you got a copy of "Master the Markets" by Tom Williams? There's a free download available in PDF form on the internet.
