So your happy for companies to go after individuals who speak out about a company misdeeds? Because this is what companies already do, they get their lawyers to write up some threatening letters and attempt to silence any criticism that an individual maybe voicing. The brave ones and those who know their rights don't fall for this bully boy tactics and call their bluff on it. But if companies are legally allowed to sue for defamation they will bury any discontent and drive investigative journalism to extinction purely through the amount of recourses that they can bring to bear against an individual.
I agree that our financial regulators have been found wanting and need an overhaul.
