I don't know about that. The notice shows a holding of about 110,000 shares so is more than $1m worse off than when AFG hit its peak. That's got to hurt quite a bit.
However, I find the buying interesting because this guy is obviously buying where he sees value (one would assume) and therefore sees better value in AFGHA, REU, RAT and RJT than in the shares directly.
