If the first two lots of shares you ever bought were CNP and CVI then I suggest you go to the ASX website and book yourself on one of their free seminars to learn a little more about investing.

You should never have much of your portfolio in spec stocks...and trust me, CNP, at the moment IMO, is a spec stock, as is CVI.

You can make good money out of stocks like these, you can also be burnt... as you can see. But the majority of your money should be in blue chips and mid-caps.
