One thing that i sort of never appreciated BUT was driven home by the NYT's article is china's serious investment in researching applications of RE's..

They have hundreds of university researchers, phd's, working out how to build the future with their monopoly of rare earths.

You bet every future innovation in tech/science etc if it can be improved with RE's china will find a way to do it..

Any company that tries to research RE's out of their products will have a rude awakening when a competitor of theirs does use it and delivers a better product.

Anyway I'm barely 8mths into my LYC investment, has been a crazy ride BUT I always planned on holding onto this for many years towards retirement.

p.s. i hope that once Lynas starts pulling in the $$$ it invests in more university research like china..
